Now that our Plates of Thanks campaign has been served, we thought we’d share the ways the campaign celebrated diners, helped independent restaurants (maybe even some of your favorites!) and supported small businesses—all while showing our gratitude for reaching 20,000 restaurants nationwide.
FREE parties for diners
Twenty diners were randomly selected to receive a free night out with the Plates of Thanks Sweepstakes. Anyone could enter by visiting our sweeps website or by dining out and tagging photos with #PlatesOfThanks on Twitter or on Instagram.
The lucky diners choose their favorite Restaurant.com eatery for a party of six to enjoy a meal—on us!
Check out some of the wonderful restaurants that were selected for Plates of Thanks parties:
Mt. Vernon Restaurant in Somerville, Massachusetts
Le P’tit Paris Bistro in Brooklyn, New York
Wink in Austin, Texas
Sapore Italian Café in Kirkwood, Missouri
The Sweepstakes grabbed the attention of diners from coast to coast—and brought in almost 50,000 entries! It also brought more than 850 new Instagram followers @restaurantdotcom and 2,000 new Twitter followers @restaurant_com.
Best of all, the campaign let us introduce even more customers to our amazing partner restaurants!
FREE giveaways for restaurants
Twenty independent restaurants were nominated by diners like you and received free solutions to support their businesses. The Plates of Thanks Giveaway included everything from kitchen equipment, décor and landscaping to new menus and logos.
“Working with great companies and caring people makes all our efforts worthwhile.”
~Zig Zag Pizza, Shelby Township, Michigan, recipient of FREE iPad with POS technology.

And we’re still grateful!
